Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!
Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.
We create the technology that redefines utilities and unlocks a new energy system of the future. By optimising renewable generation, building a more intelligent grid, and empowering utilities to deliver an exceptional customer experience, our operating system is transforming the industry worldwide.
It’s an incredibly exciting time to work in energy. Join us on our mission to improve the lives of ONE BILLION humans within the decade and shape a cleaner, better future for everyone.
🏡 Where you'll fit in:
You'll be joining Kraken as the primary technical and relationship owner for Octopus Energy France (OEFR) - one of our key European accounts.
Based in Paris, you'll sit at the intersection of Kraken's delivery, technology, and customer success functions, working day-to-day alongside the French Client Delivery Leads, TAMs and Client Partners and a wider cross-functional team.
This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role. You'll be the bridge between OEFR's priorities and Kraken's internal teams - translating client needs into action, unblocking delivery, and representing the account in stereos and working sessions.
🚀 What you’ll own:
Executive Technical Relationships
Act as a trusted technical advisor to OEFR's senior stakeholders, including technology and product leaders. Build and maintain strategic relationships, translate Kraken's technical vision into outcomes that resonate with executive priorities, and represent the technical perspective in roadmap discussions, steercos, executive briefings, and planning sessions.
Architectural Guidance & Value Realisation
Provide deep architectural guidance to connect OEFR's ecosystem with Kraken's platform. Guide system design, integrations, and configuration aligned with both client and Kraken architectural principles. Drive solution design for scalability and long-term maintainability, and identify opportunities to unlock value through feature adoption and platform capabilities. Facilitate product rollouts, upgrades, and change management to minimise disruption. Identify risks within the account and develop mitigation strategies.
Day-to-Day Technical Expert & Client Advocate
Be the hands-on technical presence that drives account momentum in the everyday. Triage and manage technical incidents in partnership with support and engineering teams. Guide configuration and usage decisions to ensure best practices. Proactively drive topics to resolution, without requiring escalation. Manage co-development efforts and joint technical initiatives. Align OEFR's and Kraken's roadmaps, advocate for client needs internally, and feed actionable insight back to product and engineering.
🧠 What you’ll bring to the party:
Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role - such as Technical Account Manager, Customer Success Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Enterprise Architect
Ideally in SaaS, cloud services, or complex enterprise environments.
Strong technical background with hands-on knowledge of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and system integrations; experience with Python, Django, or similar is a plus.
Experience of working in a fast-paced CI/CD environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage and support technical implementations from design through to live, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working with energy, utility, or infrastructure clients
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; able to navigate ambiguity, prioritise effectively, and drive issues to resolution.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive, client-centric approach.
Highly effective at building and sustaining relationships across different levels of seniority, from day-to-day technical contacts to senior client stakeholders.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple concurrent priorities.
Fluent in French and English (the role involves daily client engagement in French alongside a largely English-speaking internal team).
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline - or equivalent practical experience.
⭐️ Bonus points:
Direct experience in the French energy market - including familiarity with its regulatory landscape, market structure, or key industry players.
Background in energy retail, energy-tech, or utility transformation programmes.
Experience leading or contributing to customer migrations or large-scale platform rollouts.
Familiarity with Kraken's platform or OPS (Operations Platform Software) model.
Experience mentoring junior TAMs or contributing to the development of an account management practice.
